The Call of a Woman
When I think about being a woman, my hips start to sway and a slow, low hum starts inside me and escapes my lips. I think of fresh fruit, of full moons, of landscapes that stretch as far as the eyes can see. I think of freedom and also a deep sense of home. I think of a wilderness that can't be tamed and an expansion of thought that my own mind can't contain. I think of chaos, of deep truths, and indescribable love.
As a woman I feel so deeply, with every cell of my being I feel. I empathize with everyone and everything. I feel heat inside my body. I ache to be filled and consumed. My body is sexual and sensual, I hold pleasure inside of me and feel it with every ounce of me. My passion is deep and sometimes erratic. I move without thinking, I come without apology, I am a woman. I am both the comforts of home and the mysteries of a foreign land. I am a woman. -Alicia Joy Stiles
