The Hunter Moon Full Moon in Aries 10/13/19 If you have felt a little turned inside out this week, you are not alone. Leading up to the Full Moon in Aries, also known as the Hunter Moon, the deepest corners of our subconscious have brought into sharp focus. We are being asked to take an honest inventory of all the areas of our lives that matter. Relationships, work, physical health, all of it. Aries energy is not afraid to fight for what is important, whether that means elevating priorities or discarding what isn’t working. The bricks you laid six months ago are either coming to fruition or being discarded. If you journal or set written intentions regularly, you might gain insight by reviewing what you were prioritizing in May of 2019. I’ve pulled three Tarot cards to better understand the medicine and invitation of this particular moon cycle. What are we being invited to pay attention to? Three of Cups Reversed
This card highlights our relationships in the present moment. A moment of friendship, celebration, and connection that only exists in this way at this point in time. When pulled in reverse, it suggests we are missing out on the invitation for meaningful connection by worrying about the past or the future. This Moon asks us to pay attention, to be available for fun and pleasure. Crushing goals is amazing, but a life without connection loses a lot of meaning. If you have an invitation for fun with people you care about today, please take it! Who is our teach this moon? The Emperor Shine baby shine! With the Emperor as our teacher we are being invited to step fully into our power. Where in your life can you be more authentically yourself? Sometimes we shrink so that we don't outshine others, sometimes we contort ourselves to fit the mold of whatever image of success or happiness we see. The Emperor asks us to stand fully in the magic of who we are. It is by shining bright that we encourage others to shine and it is by standing in our unique magic that we fully live up to our soul's purpose. How can we invite in gentleness this moon? The Empress Reversed Where in your life can you allow yourself to receive more freely? Many of us are good at giving away our energy, time, and resources to those we care about, and yet struggle when it is our turn to receive. The Empress wants us to know that it is our birth right to receive. Every breath we take is a gift from this earth, one that we cannot live without. Our ability to receive both universal blessings and earthing comforts is our right. To call in gentleness this moon is to look at your relationship with receiving. Setting intentions without the ability to receive them when they come to fruition is unproductive. Let the good stuff come your way, knowing in full confidence you deserve it! If you want to work more deeply with the energy of this Full Moon, I might suggest some journaling, spending time in the full moon outdoors this evening, or getting a private Tarot Reading to look deeper at what specifically you are calling in and clearing. Happy Mooning!
