I’m going to be honest, titles make me crazy. I find it near impossible to pick a few words that accurately describe the passion of my life’s work. I used to think that my inability to stick with a title was because I was flaky or unfocused (lies we sometimes tell ourselves). However, I recently attended a workshop where the presenter talked about having an arch. An arch, being the overall message/story/drive that defines a person’s work throughout their life. Suddenly it made perfect sense. The arch which has followed through titles, is authenticity. So call me whatever you'd like, I think what I do has a voice of it's own.
I was born with a fire inside. I was a feisty little girl who's name means truth and I always called it as I saw it. I grew up in a strong Matriarch home, it didn't occur to me that being born a woman could ever be viewed as a disadvantage. There is so much power in femininity, so much strength. In my mind, there is no separating the conversation of feminine power and feminine sexuality. After all, we are the creators, it is our bodies that give life and it is in our power to receive and be the vessel of pleasure.
I vividly remember the moment I began to understand the power of sexuality. I was five years old and my mother so gently asked me to stop touching myself in public places. Leading up to this conversation I was not so subtly exploring what I could only understand as the source of unexplainable happiness. I remember feeling equal parts horrified and confused at being called out on this seemingly innocent activity. How could something I was doing with my body, which brought me happiness, be making people uncomfortable? This early confusion over pleasure and shame propelled me into a lifelong curiosity, what gave sexuality so much power?
Culturally, there is a lot of pressure placed on women on how they should act, look, think, and be. The unattainable criteria for beauty placed on women is damaging and false. The idea that women's strengths are used against them is unacceptable. By nature, woman are wonderfully inconsistent, our hormones fluctuate like the tides, and with it our moods, appetites and energy levels. We are told to calm down, pull ourselves together, and above all else, do not talk about menstruation. But what would happen if we no longer accepted these cultural norms as facts? To love ourselves deeply, and honor any of the "flaws" we think we have? What if we decided to take back our power as women? To capitalize on our strengths? To unify? In my experience, something absolutely magical happens when woman gather together and celebrate who they are.
I am on a mission of authenticity, pleasure, and empowerment. Through my personal and professional exploration I have discovered the magnitude of importance self-love has on our overall happiness. There is no perfect picture for how our lives should be, there is no perfect weight, job, relationship, or material object that could satisfy us the way our own love can. As a Women's Empowerment Coach, I have the unique opportunity to help women explore their inner truths, to identify what excites them, and to clear emotional blocks that might be standing in their way of fully expressing who they are.
It is through honesty, compassion, intuition, and humor that I am able to create the space for my client’s self-exploration and personal growth. One to one coaching with me will allow for profound exploration of desires, concerns, blocks, and aspirations. I make myself available by phone, video call, or in person in Southern Maine and New Hampshire Seacoast, so that time and distance need not be a hindrance to your sexual exploration and personal healing. I am passionate about helping woman tap into their sexual energy as a tool for connecting with their power. If you are looking to discover your sexuality on our own, with some guidance, Awakening Your Sexuality, a video and meditation series is available for instant download. While obtaining my BS in Psychology I deepened my understanding of personal motivators, human sexuality and how gender intercepts us, both socially and psychologically. My work as a Holistic Health Coach reinforced my instincts that each area of our lives intercept to create overall happiness or dissatisfaction. In addition to being a life-time learner, and taking joy in the pleasures of life, I am also the mother to two wild souls, the wife of an amazingly understanding man, a public speaker and a writer. Currently, I am working on my non-fiction book entitled, Unleashed: The Secrets of Divinely Feminine Sexuality.
